A couple of months ago, I went in search of a waterproof shoe to kick off the upcoming boating season. I thought after an extensive search I had found a great non-marking grip sneaker for the boat. Turns out, the XTRATUF Kiata is my new favorite everyday shoe, not just for when I go boating.

Even with shoelaces, the knit sock-like top makes the shoe more of a slip-on so you get all the ease of a slip-on shoe without the look of one. It’s stylish so the Kiata works for almost every occasion (including wearing them to the office). I love the TUF grip outsole that offers next level traction on flat hard surfaces and uneven terrain, combined with a high rebound cushioned midsole.

I went with the grey version of the Kiata, reasonably priced at $135, but I’m thinking I might want to pick up a second pair, maybe in a different color, so I’ll have even more options for everyday use.
