Corsa X23U
First Impression
With the heart (and vibe) of a high-end sports car, this Corsa goes well beyond just style points. The versatility and long list of standard features combined with plush, multi-function seating firmly places this Barletta in its own category of luxurious sport boats.
Highlights
For the most part, what we saw as tested comes standard on this model, including the sporty-looking helm console. The dash is centered on two multi-function gauges with a vertical row of push button controls on each side of the tilt steering wheel. Also integrated is a wireless charging station for your phone, plus access to the Simrad 7-inch NSX Chartplotter and JBL stereo controls. And having a lockable glove box on the side of the helm is something we always like to see.

Built into the raised helm platform – that includes Marine Mat flooring for the captain – are integrated pet food/water dishes that slide out when needed. Two other pet-friendly features include the bow and port gates with Doggie-Dock View See-Through Acrylic panels and the extra-wide steps on the LilliPad Marine REVO boarding ladder.

While the high back reclining helm chair for the captain is extremely comfortable, the first-mate chair directly across might just be the most sought after. The multi-function chair includes a pop-up armrest when facing forward, but easily converts to a rear-facing lounger or a forward-facing lounger. The versatility is superb.

Speaking of flexibility, there are so many different ways to enjoy the Ultra-Lounge you may lose track, but the position that allows passengers to sit back-to-back will come in most handy when you’re close to the 13 passenger rating. Your guests will also love all the USB ports and “Yeti-Ready” cupholders that are found throughout the boat.

Why we love this boat…Corsa is in the middle of the Barletta lineup, but considering all of the standard high-class features and its sporty vibe, it sure feels extremely high-end to us.
Outside the stainless stern gate on the extended platform is a Tube-Tow Watersports Cage with two stainless steel fender baskets incorporated into the design. There are also LilliPad Ghost Mounts on the swim deck so adding options such as a flagpole, grill mount, or diving board is that much easier. Other key features include a large in-floor ski locker, built-in table into the port chaise lounge, and a Power Bimini top.
Inspection
The three 26-inch diameter pontoons are connected to the 3/4-inch marine decking with a combination box/I-beam and C-channel hybrid cross-member configuration. There are full-length dual stage lifting strakes on each of the three pontoons that include an invasive species flush and a full-length solid keel. Worth noting, the reinforced .125-gauge nose cones include Wave Tamers, and constructed inside each of the tubes are baffles to add to the overall strength. Up top the exterior panels with blackout rails around the perimeter stand on average over 25 inches tall.
Just being picky…Having three USB ports (all on the starboard side) is a great addition, but to keep all passengers happy a few more would be nice.
Performance
Paired with a Mercury 250hp Verado, we easily cruised beyond the 40mph mark at full throttle after a zero-to-20 mph time of just 4 seconds. The ride is exceptionally smooth and quiet thanks to its V.I.P. (Vibration Isolation Pads) Technology and with the electric steering, she banks easily in the tight turns for a fun and exhilarating ride.
Final Thoughts
As-tested we feel this Corsa is going to appeal to a variety of consumers with varying needs, including those who are looking for a luxurious sport boat.
