First Impression
What’s your favorite floorplan for a pontoon layout? Before you answer, take a look at the latest Q model from Viaggio. The Lago series is divided into three classes: V, X, and Z. At first glance, it’s easy to see why the luxurious Lago Z is the highest trim offering in the Lago series, just a step down from its flagship Diamante. The premium Z line includes standard amenities such as a raised helm, blackout decals, recessed speakers/cupholders, and diamond-pattern stitched furniture, all while featuring a base price comparable to a mid-line boat.
Highlights
The Q or quad recliner layout is the focal point, with all four helm chairs designed to swivel and form a conversation area around an oval table. Each captain’s chair also slides and reclines, featuring movable armrests that provide next-level comfort for four people.

The furniture color is new this year, featuring a Brite white and gray vinyl upgrade, with diamond pattern stitching in the recessed areas in the bow and stern bench seats. The chaise bow loungers include cupholders and wireless phone chargers on each side. The furniture and Lakeport plank flooring tie in perfectly with the exterior white fencing, featuring an Aruba metallic color stripe. One other quick note on the exterior: we love the high-end vibe created by the 2-inch extrusion rail design, black anodized rails, and blackout graphics.

For the captain, the raised helm platform features a removable slip-resistant foam mat and provides a commanding view. At the fiberglass helm behind the glass windscreen are two multi-function gauges and a wireless charging pad. Below and to the left of the Imperiale steering wheel are two vertical rows of backlit push buttons, with a JL Audio volume control knob in between. On the other side is a Simrad NSX7 digital display, with a 12-volt and USB port adjacent to it. The four 6.5-inch speaker JL sound system includes a two-channel amplifier and a 10-inch subwoofer, all part of the standard package.

Out on the extended swim deck is a large area with an Xtreme ski/tow bar, LilliPad Marine boarding ladder, and pre-drilled Ghost Mounts in case you want to add additional LilliPad products such as a grill post, flagpole, or its diving board. Other key highlights worth noting are the see-through Vision bow gate, LED interior lighting, in-floor ski locker, and EGIS ACR battery management system.

Inspection
As part of the Tripletoon performance package, the three 25-inch-diameter pontoons feature sealed strakes on each of the 0.100-gauge pontoons with tube protectant. The performance shield and keel are also part of the package. Above deck, the rail height around the perimeter measures 28 inches tall for the majority of the boat, with a minimal drop in the stern. Overall, this Lago earned a high safety rating due to its fun and family-friendly layout.
Performance
SeaStar power assist steering is recommended for outboards 200hp and higher, but after diving into sharp turns with ease, it might be considered a must-have. She is very responsive and fun to drive, and we love the pairing with the Suzuki 250hp four-stroke. After a zero-to-20 mph time of just over 5 seconds, we reached a top speed in the mid-40s.
Final Thoughts
A high-end vibe meets a mid-range price point with this Lago Z. The quad helm chair layout is ideal for couples, but the other thoughtful amenities should not be overlooked.

Just being picky…We’d like to see a dedicated trash can included in the standard features, along with a locking glove box for smaller items such as keys and wallets.
