It’s a bit too early to be thinking about spring boating, but it’s never too early to start making plans for the early boat shows as we look ahead to what’s new for the coming year. To help you get properly ready for the January boat shows, we’re taking a look at some of the new models and major changes coming for the 2027 model year. You can think of it as a preview of the boat shows or as a sneak peek at what’s new in our part of the boating industry.
Alera Marine
Building on its early success as a new manufacturer, backed by decades of experience in the pontoon industry, Alera has made significant changes to its 2027 lineup. Starting with its Model A line, which comes in at a lower price point, yet still has the solid construction as its Model M Series. Steel Blue Exterior is a new exterior color option for 2027 that brings a rich, modern blue. The floorplan has also expanded for the Model A lineup with the new 20Q, 20L, 24Q, and 24L floor plans, giving boaters even more options across multiple lengths and layouts.

A new optional windshield adds wind protection at the helm while complementing the Model A’s streamlined design. Another option, available on the Q and L floor plans, is the new convertible table that adds flexibility for dining, entertaining, and relaxing aboard.

Rounding out the list of additional options for 2027 are a new heavy-duty trailerable cover option from Commercial Sewing and a bow filler seat.

Its Model M line has added the QV and LV floor plans, offering more versatility to give boaters more ways to configure the seating. Also new are the 21-foot floor plans with the release of its 21L and 21Q. Some of the optional upgrades released for the Model A line were also incorporated into the Model M, including the Steel Blue exterior, helm windshield, convertible table (Q and L), and a Commercial Sewing Trailerable Cover. Barletta
From its top-of-the-line Reserve to its budget-friendly Sanza, Barletta engineers have been busy ramping up for the 2027 model year. New furniture colors such as Gun-Metal Graphite and Driftwood Dune in the Reserve, Lusso, and Cabrio lines, along with new Alpine Gray flooring for all three lines plus the Aria, provide a tighter, more compact weave.

Other key upgrades include a built-in wireless charger integrated into the helm on select models, midship cleats, and a recessed in-floor gate stop. Spyder digital controls offer an intuitive touchscreen-style helm experience on the Lusso and Cabrio lines, featuring a 7-inch screen paired with a 12-inch Simrad.

In addition to 400hp, 425hp, and 500hp twin engines on the Lusso line, Barletta has added a 350hp twin option to support market coverage, cost positioning, operability, and customer fit on its UCAT and MAT models. Speaking of horsepower, the 300hp Mercury Verado is now an option for the Cabrio.

A new Apex Silver rail skin color for the Cabrio and Aria lines provides a sleek, modern, and premium look. Also part of the Cabrio updates for model year 2027, the dog dish latch and soft-close track mechanism have been improved to keep the walkway open and unobstructed.

The Aria line includes a redesigned furniture package and next-gen wireless charger. Two popular features that are now standard include the Eagle 5 chartplotter and a LilliPad Marine boarding ladder. The Sanza product update includes JBL Auracast Bluetooth, new interior color options and a 22UC and 20QC floorplan. (www.barlettapontoons.com)

Powered by dual Mercury outboards delivering up to 1,000 horsepower, the Summit Series pairs impressive power with reinforced RPM Technology for smooth handling, stability, and confident control. An optional joystick piloting system makes docking and tight maneuvering even easier, while thoughtful design details such as a larger fuel tank and oversized motor pod help balance the added performance. It’s a bold new option for boaters who want luxury, comfort, and serious power in one impressive package. (www.harrisboats.com)

Flamingo Marine
Known for its Flamingo Five, the Wisconsin-based builder grabbed a lot of attention as a new pontoon manufacturer in 2026 with its five key innovations. For model year 2027, Flamingo Marine is continuing to build on its early success.

The Flamingo Five includes dual windshields that convert into serving counters. The design gives you additional space for entertaining, but the windshields open to use while underway. In the bow are two lounge tables that are perfectly hidden below the seat cushions and, when deployed, can be used separately or brought together to form a large gathering table. When not in use, the tables can be returned to the under-the-bow seats without sacrificing any storage below, and the cupholders on each side of the table remain accessible to passengers when stowed. Worth noting, despite not having a traditional table pedestal, the table is solid and as stable as a permanently mounted one, which makes it even more impressive.

While multi-purpose stern lounges are popular, there’s nothing quite like Flamingo’s MegaLounge with a dynamic floorplan. As a nearly infinitely variable rear seating lounge, you can face bow, stern, port, or starboard, in sunpad or couch, or choose between two bench seats in the stern and one rear lounger. It can adjust on the fly to accommodate your needs, making it one of the most versatile floor plans

As a perfect complement to the MegaLounge, the back panels or “wings” in the stern fold down to provide additional floor space and drastically improve your water access.

Lastly, included in the Flamingo Five is innovative storage. Your inflated tubes or boards often get in the way, but because the MegaLounge is adjustable, you can position the seating to create unique storage space for your water toys. (www.flamingo-marine.com)

JC TriToon Marine
Heading into each new model year, it’s always exciting to see what JC TriToon Marine comes up with next, as this Indiana-based manufacturer loves to push the limits. Looking ahead to 2027, JC didn’t disappoint. For the pontooner who feels his boat has everything, JC engineers would respectfully disagree.

JC TriToon is launching a new Stern Theater Option (STO) layout on its NepToon 27TT Sport Model, which will also be available on the SportToon 26TT, SportToon 28TT, and Sport Yacht 32TT models. Some of the most innovative releases from JC over the years have included its partnership with Boat Outfitters, so it’s not surprising the division of Teak Isle Marine built the cabinet that includes a power raised 40-inch 12-volt television. The best part is that it’s linked to the VOKOL Veritune Sound System, which delivers a full-on surround-sound. Can you say full sandbar envy?

Also new for model year 2027 are the bench seat hinges that open the seat cushion towards the lounger arm, providing maximum access to the inside of the seat base. (www.jcpontoon.com)

The all-new 2027 AquaPatio is a completely redesigned sport-luxury pontoon shaped by feedback from its consumers and dealers. With a more intuitive helm, elevated comfort, bold new styling, and expanded performance, the new AquaPatio is designed to be the centerpiece for entertaining family and friends.

At the center of the redesign is a completely reimagined helm that makes every outing more comfortable and connected. A new 9-inch touchscreen display comes standard, with an available 12-inch upgrade, while integrated digital instrumentation, ergonomic controls, dedicated storage, and customizable accent lighting place key functions within easy reach.

Godfrey also introduced several owner-focused innovations exclusive to the new AquaPatio. New Click & Cruise Rails provide an integrated, tool-free accessory mounting system that lets owners quickly add, reposition, or remove accessories in seconds, making it easy to customize the boat for cruising, entertaining, fishing, or watersports. The new NytCruz automatic lighting system activates navigation and anchor lights when needed, reducing distractions at the helm while adding convenience and confidence during evening operation.

Interior comfort is enhanced with redesigned furniture featuring RENUIT cushion covers that let owners replace upholstery covers without tools or specialized skills, simplifying long-term maintenance while helping keep the boat looking its best.

Performance receives a significant boost for 2027 with a redesigned twin-engine platform that expands from the previous 25-foot, 6-inch deck to a new 27-foot, 5-inch configuration. Capable of accommodating up to 1,000 horsepower, the larger platform delivers a new level of sport-luxury performance.

Throughout the redesign, Godfrey maintained its commitment to craftsmanship by creating plush, inviting furniture layouts that prioritize comfort while preserving AquaPatio’s sleek, contemporary aesthetic. The result is a pontoon equally suited for relaxing cruises, watersports, and on-water entertaining. (www.godfreypontoonboats.com)
