Hurricane
24 Center Console
First Impression
To call this all-new center console beauty a top-of-the-line fishing model just doesn’t feel strong enough. When you factor in all the included standard features along with a surprising number of options, you might be looking at the most complete day-use fishing deck boat out there. While Hurricane is not the first manufacturer to offer a center console fishing model, what the others lack is its DNA to include extremely comfortable features with an overall family-friendly design.
Highlights
As a new player in the center console market, Hurricane’s release of the 24CC is a game-changer with a helm console anchored by two Garmin 12-inch displays. It’s ideal for using one as a map and the other for your gauge information. Below the touchscreens are two rows of rocker switches, controls to the Lenco trim tabs, a Lewmar rode counter for the Windlass anchor, plus access to the JL Audio stereo. With the optional JL Audio Ultimate System you gain two more speakers on the hardtop beyond the standard four 7.7-inch speakers. Together it creates a truly amazing sound system. The T-top comes standard with a canvas Bimini, but when you upgrade to the hardtop a VHF radio comes standard.

Specific fishing features include a quick-release trolling motor mount (shown with a MinnKota trolling motor), a single shallow anchor Power Pole, rod storage in the gunnel, 23-gallon livewell with a clear acrylic viewing window, deck mold for a 5-gallon bait bucket, dedicated tackle storage, and a large casting deck that is hidden nicely below the bow cushions.

Why we love this boat…For both anglers and those looking for a sporty and comfortable deck boat, this 24CC is the total package. The number of standards and options is unbelievable.
There are way too many other amenities to include, but some highlights are the built-in Scanstrut Atmos inflation station, a T-Top 18-inch light bar, electric flush head, two wireless phone chargers at the helm, snap-in flooring, and the flip-out backrests in the bow that convert the seating into lounges. In the stern is a large removable stainless ski/tow bar plus a four-step telescoping ladder with its own storage compartment.
Inspection
This proven modified V-hull with a notched transom and a hybrid flare provides a smooth running surface that allowed us to fly across the water. The Transverse stringer grid system is the backbone of this Hurricane deck boat and the integrated structure works to control the flex in the hull and provide exceptional support. Also worth noting, access to the wiring behind the helm dash is simple with the entire console pivoting forward to help make everything in reach.
Just being picky…Yes it’s an option, but the ski/tow cage should really be standard on a boat with a 350hp outboard along with the fishing package since the center console model was born to fish.
Performance
With so many features on board the performance side could get overshadowed, but don’t sleep on this Yamaha 350hp outboard. With the powerful V6 we just missed the 50 mph mark at full throttle, but what impressed us most was the ease in steering and just how sharp a turning radius this Hurricane has. It is a complete thrill ride and a solid pairing with the Yamaha engine where you might be having so much fun driving that you won’t want to stop to fish.
Final Thoughts
While the price won’t be for every budget, everyone can agree this is a loaded deck boat with not only fishing features, but comfortable amenities that will lure in non-anglers as well. The Hurricane 24CC checks all the boxes and as tested everything is included with nothing – other than the fish – missing.
