red, black, and white Viaggio Diamante pontoon in the water
Viaggio
Diamante 22S AT
First Impression
The term flagship refers to the ship in a fleet that carries the commanding admiral, but in this case flagship translates to Viaggio’s best or most important model in its lineup. Truly a high-end beauty, the Indiana-manufacturer goes the extra mile on design of this Diamante with a solid combination of standard and optional features.
Highlights
Complete with a black-out rail package with 3-inch rails, the exterior has a distinctive look that now includes “gills” on the side panels, which is a decorative laser cut pattern into the aluminum that lights up when the exterior lights are turned on. And even though it is an option, the Attivo arch tower could be considered a must-have upgrade based on how well it ties into the overall sporty vibe.

As you come on board, you’re greeted with dual chaise lounges in the bow with fold down armrests and we love the recessed cupholders and phone charging pads that are new this year. At the helm, the off-set 12-inch Simrad touchscreen (upgraded from the standard 9-inch Simrad) beautifully dominates the dash console. On the other side of the steering wheel are lighted push buttons, plus a control knob for the JL Audio sound system that consists of a total of 10 speakers, including the ones mounted on the tower. Other helm highlights included a heated/chilled cupholder for the captain, a wireless charging pad and a fully adjustable helm chair that sits on a 3-inch elevated platform.

Why we love this boat…The combination of a gorgeous color scheme, a well-executed floor plan, and a comfortable thrilling ride make this feature-rich flagship model an enticing choice.
The first mate chair easily transforms from a forward-facing seat to a rear-facing one with a fold out table that is between it and the rear bench seat. However, the most popular section is arguably the swingback lounger that provides a variety of different ways to maximize the stern lounger. Outside the gate as you make your way towards the back is a large extended swim deck that comes standard along with an extremely easy-to-use REVO boarding ladder from LilliPad Marine. On this specific model, the LilliPad flagpole kit was an added option along with the Xtreme ski/tow bar. Other key highlights include a deep in-floor ski locker, a table/pedestal holder behind the captain’s chair and RGB interior and exterior lighting.
Inspection
Every Diamante comes standard as a triple pontoon model, but this specific one has been upgraded from 25-inch diameter to 27-inch diameter pontoons as part of its Tripletoon package. Each pontoon is constructed of .100 gauge aluminum with lifting strakes on all three, with the cross members on 16-inch centers to further reinforce the undercarriage. Up top the rail height varies from 27 inches tall in the stern to 24 inches tall in the bow.
Just being picky…The sporty helm would be complete with some type of a glove box to secure your loose items. We’d also like to see a dedicated trash can on board as well.
Performance
Paired with a Suzuki 300hp outboard, it would be easy to focus on just its top speed of 45 mph or its impressive zero-to-20 mph time of less than 5 seconds, but it’s the ease of steering and how effortlessly this 24-footer dives into the sharp corners that impressed us the most. With its sporty look and top-notch steering it’s a true thrill ride performance pontoon.
Final Thoughts
Inspired from high-end automotive features, Viaggio’s flagship model delivers. The more time we spent on it the more we appreciated the details and features that clearly make it remarkable.
