First Impression
With the Roswell R1 Audio Spectre Arch, if Alera was trying to break into the pontoon segment with an impressive entrance, mission accomplished. Alera Marine Group is a new brand for 2026 by a team with over 200 years of collective boat-building experience. While the name might be new, the expertise behind its Model M 25L runs deep.
Highlights
The list of standard features is extensive, with a few optional upgrades that make a significant impact, including that Roswell R1 Audio Spectre Arch. The dual power tower collapses forward and also deploys a 10-foot Bimini. The arch was custom-built for Alera, featuring two 10-inch square fiberglass tower speakers that provide a unique look, only overshadowed by their performance. The square speakers also project downward into the boat, so passengers will notice concert-level sound quality immediately. The audio upgrade also includes four 8-inch speakers, a 10-inch subwoofer, a transom remote, two 8-inch aft speakers, and three amplifiers. If having amazing acoustics is a top priority for you, just wait until you hear this audio system from Roswell.

Another option on the model we tested is the gold rail package, which gives the boat a high-end vibe with the fusion white panels. We also like the color tie-in with the gold dock light housings on each side.

For the captain, the 12-inch Ultrawide Simrad touchscreen is offset at the helm with toggle switches below. The dash console also includes a wireless charger and audio controls for the Roswell sound system. Below the helm stand is a trash receptacle, and the push-open access to it is a nice added touch, since you don’t need to open the full door.

The captain and co-captain reclining chairs with fold-down armrests are identical and feature the same diamond pattern design as the furniture to tie in the complete look. Just behind the helm is a large multi-purpose stern lounger with recessed cupholders and storage to maximize the space. Did we mention this pontoon has over 20 cupholders?!

Out on the swim deck, you’ll find a five-step boarding ladder along with a massive gold-colored ski/tow bar. What makes the tall bar truly unique is the patent-pending fuel fill that is built into it.

Inspection
Three 25-inch-diameter pressurized pontoons, each with lifting strakes, form the foundation of this model. The one-piece composite deck includes an industry-first, full 360-degree bumper inside the deck trim for added protection and vibration damping. Up top, the rail height ranges from 28 to over 30 inches, for a safe overall layout.
Performance
As tested, Alera ensured its Model M 25L would be memorable and leave a stellar first impression by pairing it with a Mercury 425hp Verado outboard. We just missed the 50 mph mark at full throttle after a blistering zero-to-20 mph time of just under 5 seconds. Overall, we enjoyed how responsive this Alera felt in the turns.
Final Thoughts
It’s official: the Alera era has begun. From elevated features such as in-floor storage, wireless charging, power-assist steering, and RGB lighting, to behind-the-scenes details such as its battery disconnect solution, ROC Guard system, and composite deck—we’re excited to see this manufacturer grow. It’s a solid boat from bow to stern, with many key features standard to make your time on the water more enjoyable.

Just being picky…The stern gate is see-through so it would be nice if the bow gate was too, but the Alera team has informed us they are already working on it.
