First Impression
The Lusso line represents Barletta’s premium luxury offering, though the manufacturer actually offers an even higher tier if you can believe that. At first glance, we feel Lusso’s refined features and upscale comfort set it apart in this segment of the pontoon industry.
Highlights
High-end luxury is something Barletta takes seriously, and the best example can be found at the raised helm. It’s easy to see why the award-winning dash console draws so much attention. The lighted dash panel accent serves as the background for the 12-inch Simrad NSX Ultrawide touchscreen. Then, just to the right of the steering wheel, you’ll find the 7-inch Simrad digital display, with controls for the JBL Marine sound system below. The enhanced display for JBL stereo includes a total of six speakers with zone control, a subwoofer, and a 1500-watt amplifier. Trust us: the sound system perfectly matches the high-end theme Barletta is going for. Hidden storage compartments at the helm, along with a locking glove box below, round out the highlights from the helm.

Directly across from the captain’s highback helm chair is a versatile first-mate seat with pop-up armrest that easily converts to a rear- or forward-facing lounger. In the stern, the multi-position lounge offers a wide variety of seating configurations that easily adapt depending on your crew. You can go from back-to-back seating to rear-facing loungers in seconds.

On the extended swim deck in the stern is a solid tube-tow watersports cage with incorporated stainless steel fender holders, a stereo remote, and the popular REVO boarding ladder from LilliPad Marine. The boat also comes standard with built-in Ghost Mounts, making it easy to add a LilliPad diving board, grill mount, or flagpole.

In the bow are two chaise lounges, each with USB and USB-C charging ports. Also worth noting are the three in-floor storage compartments: a bow anchor locker, a large ski locker in the center, and a small cooler storage in the stern. We love the extra storage space these compartments offer by using the pontoons.

Other key features include integrated pet food/water dish trays built into the raised helm platform, Doggie-Dock View see-through acrylic gates, 16 “Yeti-Ready” cupholders, and interior and exterior lighting.

Inspection
As part of the standard Triple Toon package, the three 26-inch diameter pontoons are connected to the 3/4-inch marine decking with a combination box/I-beam and C-channel hybrid cross-member configuration. The V.I.P. (Vibration Isolation Pads) Technology helps provide a quiet ride, too. There are full-length exterior Wave Tamers on the outside pontoons, a full-length solid keel, plus a full aluminum underbelly skin. The exterior railing around the perimeter stands over 30 inches tall for most of the boat, with the lowest rail in the stern still measuring at 25 inches.
Performance
When you can get under 5 seconds with your zero-to-20 mph time, you’re really moving! With the Mercury 400hp Verado, we took off like a rocket, progressing to speeds in the mid-50s. Based on how effortlessly the boat handles and how responsive it feels in the tight turns, this Lusso earned a high fun-factor rating during our test.
Final Thoughts
While the price as tested may not suit every budget, it is easy to agree that this is a truly high-end luxury model that lives up to the high standards and reputation for which Barletta is best known.

Just being picky…The trash receptacle is located below the chaise lounge in front of the helm, but despite being frequently used, it’s not as accessible as we’d like to see.
