First Impression
What immediately jumps out is the Sage green exterior with carbon fiber graphics in between. When paired with its midnight blackout package, this Godfrey’s high-end look grabs your attention. Sweetwater is supposed to be Godfrey’s price-point offering, but the only “entry” quality may just be the price as tested. All the standard features and key upgrades put it on the next level.
Highlights
The DT in the model name stands for dinette table, and it’s the focus of the interior. The co-captain bench seat features a pivoting backrest, providing seating on both sides of the pedestal table. When you manually lower the table, the backrests come together to create a very large sunpad. Until this year, the DT layout was only offered in Sweetwater’s 2486 with a sink on the starboard aft rail. New for 2026 is the 2286DT, which features additional seating with a chaise bench behind the helm chair and provides more storage. There is even a Scanstrut ATMOS built-in air pump below the rear-facing chaise bench and a stereo remote located on the side. Don’t worry: you can opt for the sink unit as an option if you prefer.

Speaking of options, after seeing all the extra space the 2-foot Back Porch extension offers, it may be considered a must-upgrade. It’s basically a 2486 deck with a 2286 playpen on it, creating plenty of room for the ski/tow cage and a LilliPad Marine REVO boarding ladder.

At the helm, the Simrad touchscreen is centered between two multi-function GPS gauges with a row of rocker switches below. There is also a wireless charging pad inside a cubby for the captain, along with access to the Clarion Color Plus stereo with four RGB speakers with chrome sport grilles. The captain can also control the full-spectrum RGB lighting, which is an optional upgrade package.

In the bow are two chaise lounges, with the most comfortably angled one being on the port side. Built into the back of that chaise is a drawer unit from Boat Outfitters, a division of Teak Isle, with a fold-out dual trash receptacle below. The Dune furniture offers a deeper tan color with rich brown accents, yet the darker cool-touch vinyl doesn’t heat up in the sun.

Other amenities worth noting include the Driftwood cool-touch flooring, the in-floor ski locker with a built-in anchor bracket, and the SeeView bow gate.

Inspection
Below deck, the undercarriage consists of a 27-inch-diameter iMPACT center pontoon and two 25-inch-diameter outer tubes, each with lifting strakes. It also features a full under-deck aluminum skin and heavy-duty channels. Above, the rail height averages 25 inches along the perimeter for a safe, family-friendly layout.
Performance
Paired with a Mercury 200hp FourStroke outboard, we reached a top speed in the 40s after a zero-to-20 mph time of less than 5 seconds. The turns are semi-sharp with the iMPACT performance hull upgrade, and overall, it handles well.
Final Thoughts
As an entry series, the base price with no options and a standard engine makes it extremely affordable. However, it’s the combination of increased power and optional upgrades that truly makes it a value-driven model. As tested, we feel this Sweetwater has a lot to offer that will appeal to many families and budgets.

Just being picky…So much is packed into this layout, creating a tight walkthrough space between the co-captain bench and captain’s chair. Rounded corners on the bench seat might open this up a little more.
