First Impression

When it comes to incorporating amenities into every square inch of a pontoon layout, there is loaded, fully loaded, and then there is JC TriToon loaded. The number of thoughtful features this manufacturer includes in its layouts is both amazing and pleasantly surprising. When you first step on board, you never know what fun amenity you might discover.
Highlights
A new option this year for the extended stern swim platform is SeaStep power steps from SeaLift. The three 16-inch-wide step platforms can be extended into the water with yacht-level strength. The actuated steps, controlled from the helm console, help make boarding from the water effortless. Also controlled from the helm is the misting system from Mister-Comfort, which includes a full system for the floor for your passengers, as well as for the captain at the console.

The actual dash console is centered on a 9-inch Garmin touchscreen with digital gauges on each side. Controls for the upgraded RGB lighting system from Shadow Caster are easily within reach of the captain, along with access to the Fusion Audio head unit and the eight 8.8-inch speakers. A locking glove box and wireless phone charger round up the helm highlights.

There are a total of three chaise lounges on board, two in the bow and a rear-facing one across from the helm. Each has additional storage upgrades from Boat Outfitters, a division of Teak Isle. These include two storage and drawer units with USB ports inside, a flip-up table, and a flip-down trash receptacle with a lockable glove box that also has a USB port inside. Teak Isle is known for making the most out of onboard space, and that’s especially true with its in-floor ski locker system. Retractable fishing rod holders with tackle tray storage are built in, all hidden well with a locking latch for the in-floor compartment. One other Teak Isle upgrade is its custom entertainment tray that attaches to the removable cooler, providing a cutting board and storage for bottles, cups, cans, and condiments.

Behind the helm is an L-group seating area, featuring the new, larger sundeck with a pop-up changing room below that is extremely easy to access. Another key feature is a heavy-duty stainless steel power Bimini frame rated for 50 mph.

Inspection
Overbuilt is probably the best way to describe the undercarriage. The optional High Tide Hull (HTH) features a U-shaped pontoon design with .100-gauge walls and .125-gauge nose cones. Built into the pontoons is the Accuthrust four thruster system that makes docking and maneuvering in tight spaces fingertip easy. Above deck, the rail height around the perimeter varies from 22 inches tall in the bow to an impressive 30-inch-tall rail in the stern.
Performance
The Suzuki dual propeller and two-stage gear reduction aid in successfully producing powerful torque with the 300hp that reached a top speed in the 40s after a zero-to-20 mph time of just over 5 seconds. On this JC, power-assist hydraulic steering comes standard, making it easy to navigate sharp turns with the High Tide Hull. She’s powerful, responsive, and fun to drive.
Final Thoughts
As expected, the “wow factor” is extremely high on this fully loaded NepToon. With a balance of standard features and key options, the unique amenities that enhance comfort and ease of use are amazing.

Just being picky…If having a user-friendly changing room matters to you, this one is practical. Otherwise, it takes up valuable deck space for something you might not use.
