First Impression

If this vibrant green, twin-engine beauty looks familiar, you might recognize it from its award-winning presence at the International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition & Conference (IBEX) last fall. Its partnership with Voyager Safety Systems earned it an NMMA Innovation Award, but that is just one of many highlights on this SportToon.
Highlights
Unveiled at IBEX, the thruster-activated docking camera system from Voyager Safety Systems, a division of ASA Electronics, is truly innovative. It is engineered to integrate with the Accuthrust aft and bow side thrusters, redefining docking safety and precision—complete with night vision technology for low-light conditions.

It automatically turns on when you use the thrusters and can be viewed from the center console helm on the Vee Three’s D-7 screen, located next to the 9-inch Garmin touchscreen. Also part of the dash, just below the rocker switches, are the thruster controls, the Shadow Caster RGB lighting switch, and the Mister-Comfort switches for the floor and helm misting systems. This is also where you pilot the VOKOL Veritune sound system, featuring 42 speakers and 2800 watts of concert-quality sound! Everywhere you could think to mount a speaker, you’ll find one as part of this amazing sound system that you’ll hear well before the boat comes into view.

Four chaise lounges surround the center console, with each having unique storage or features from Boat Outfitters, a division of Teak Isle. A flip-up table, a cooler insert, a flip-down trash receptacle, storage drawers with USB ports inside, and a locking glovebox are among the highlights.

In the stern, between the giant Suzuki outboards, is a stainless steel “Super Ladder” with four 6-inch steps and a weight capacity of up to 500 pounds. A 72-inch-tall custom ski/tow bar with Boston Acoustic speakers adds to the sporty vibe. Another cool feature is a timer that automatically shuts down the electronics 15 minutes after the ignition turns off. The entry assistance button near the port gate turns everything back on when you return.

Inspection
Three high-volume, .100 gauge U-shaped pontoons form the base with the optional High Tide Hull performance upgrade, which includes lifting fins and a full-length aluminum skin. The Acuthrust thrusters are installed inside the port and starboard pontoons for a flush fit, with no extension below the pontoon surface to drag or hit underwater obstacles. With the added weight of two engines, the stern sits a little lower in the water, but that’s to be expected. Up top, the rail height varies from 25.5 inches in the bow and stern to 34 inches tall for the majority of the perimeter.
Performance
This is JC TriToon’s first-ever dual-engine option, and the twin Suzuki 300hp outboards made a memorable impression. After accelerating from zero-to-20 mph in less than 5 seconds, we reached mid-50s speeds with ease. She banks beautifully in the sharp turns like a high-end performance pontoon should.
Final Thoughts
Known as a manufacturer that strives to pack every square inch of its boats with cool and thoughtful features, this SportToon lived up to high expectations. JC TriToon’s over-the-top approach of adding unique amenities is legendary, and you can now add a twin outboard layout to its long list of accomplishments.

Just being picky…The dual fender storage next to the starboard gate by the helm is nice, but relocating it to the stern would free up more space around the center console.
