First Impression
Starcraft is a manufacturer you can count on each year to push boundaries with new improvements, while keeping style and ease of use in mind. The Starcraft RX’s blackout exterior blends seamlessly from the panels and rails to the painted pontoons, creating a gorgeous offering.
Highlights
The new standard power Bimini top completes the sporty vibe Starcraft is going for and matches perfectly with the new matte black panels and badging. Inside, the refreshed upholstery is off-white with gray accents and features diamond-pattern stitching throughout. There are two plush chaise lounges in the bow, each with a fold-down armrest and recessed cupholders.

For model year 2026, the helm console has been redesigned, and behind the tall glass windshield is a beautiful dash centered on a Simrad touchscreen, with a vertical row of push buttons on each side. To the left of the steering wheel is a wireless phone cubby, and on the other side are controls to the amazing Wet Sounds audio controls. The upgraded premium sound package and RGB lighting are options, but must-haves in our book.

For the captain, there is an extremely comfortable helm chair on the raised platform with a flip-up bolster. Good news: there is an identical chair for your first mate directly across.

Behind the helm chair is an entertainment center with counter space, a bottle opener, and a dedicated place for your trash can below. The redesigned Q DH floorplan includes a multi-position lounger in the stern that easily converts to different configurations with the use of a grab bar on the top of the backrest. From a safety standpoint, having this lounger completely enclosed with a dual gate stern railing is something we always like to see. There is plenty of room to walk around inside before exiting through the aft gates to the minimal swim deck, which includes a LilliPad boarding ladder and a blacked-out ski/tow bar.

Inspection
The HMX PR25 performance package is one of the many standard features and includes three 25-inch-diameter pontoons with lifting strakes on both sides of the center tube and on the inside of the outer pontoons. The hull design also includes an all-welded aluminum transom and full “heavy hat” understructure. Up top, the rail height varies from nearly 29 inches tall overall to over 25 inches in the stern. The see-through gate in the bow and solid port entry door complete the safe and secure floor plan.
Performance
Matching the blackout vibe, we love the look of the Stealth Suzuki 350hp outboard. However, we quickly learned that this V6, dual-prop beast does more than just look good. At full throttle, we reached mid-40s speeds after a 5-second zero-to-20 mph time. With the HMX PR25 performance package, we were pleased by how easily she banks in the sharp turns, and with the optional Suzuki Precision power-assist steering, this pontoon handles like a dream.
Final Thoughts
With some models, you may be tempted not to opt for all the options; however, the version we tested had only a few, and we believe the complete package, as reviewed, will make this pontoon a popular choice. The sporty blackout look is flawlessly executed, and it’s backed up not only by how it performs and handles, but also with comfortable seating options for up to 13 people.

Just being picky…There are small cubbies at the helm for small items, but we would like a locking glove box for the captain and a strut on the in-floor ski locker to keep it open during use.
