A few years ago, the price-point Lago line was divided into its Z, X, and V offerings, with the Lago V being its true base entry-level model. We’ve been impressed by how this series has evolved, upgrading the standard features while offering a surprising number of options. Starting at under $40K before engine, the only thing entry-level about the standard V series might just be the price. It features a stout frame, fiberglass helm, blacked-out rails, matte fencing, and a number of available layouts.

For the 2026 model year, the décor offering for the Lago V has expanded, starting with the exterior, which features upgraded automotive-style decals. The accent stripe is one of 11 color options available, and it ties in perfectly with the tan and gray colored vinyl inside. With more furniture and flooring options available than ever before, you can truly customize the layout to your specific style.

In the bow, there are two chaise lounges with recessed cupholders and built-in speakers for a clean look, accompanied by two more similar lounges in the stern. There are plenty of comfortable seats for the 12-passenger-rated pontoon, but the most popular might just be the high-back helm chair for the captain. It slides, swivels, and reclines with movable armrests, and the best part is that there is an identical one directly across for your first mate.

At the fiberglass helm behind the optional windscreen, the dash includes a row of analog gauges with lighted push buttons below. Another option is the Lowrance Eagle 5 digital map and the controls for the upgraded power Bimini. On the other side of the steering wheel is the four-speaker Clarion stereo unit, which rounds out the helm features.

Out on the extended swim deck, there is an additional two feet of space with a stainless boarding ladder and the Xtreme ski/tow bar. We love the extra room back here, which is sure to be a popular gathering spot when the boat is not underway.

Other highlights include teak artisan-tan vinyl flooring, a large in-floor ski locker, and nearly 20 cupholders found throughout the boat.

Three 25-inch-diameter pontoons form the base of this model, with sealed lifting strakes on both sides of the center tube and strakes on the inner sides of the outer pontoons. It’s all part of the optional tripletoon package. Up top, the rail height is consistently 28 inches tall around the perimeter, ensuring an extremely safe and family-friendly design.

We were not expecting the steering on this entry-level model to be so effortless. She is incredibly responsive with the SeaStar steering, and we were able to navigate the sharp turns nicely. After a gradual zero-to-20 mph time of 6 seconds, we reached a top speed near the 40mph mark at full throttle with the Suzuki 200hp four-stroke. Overall, we feel the pairing with this Suzuki is a great match.

If adding more variety to the Lago V was the goal for Viaggio in 2026, we say mission accomplished. We found a lot of added value in this entry-level model, which is loaded with standard features not typically found in a price point offering, along with key options to dial in the customization.
