The Sea Tow Foundation’s Life Jacket Loaner Program was created with one goal in mind: to prevent drownings by providing life jackets, ranging from infant to adult extra-large, that boaters can borrow free of charge. The foundation operates more than 1,300 stands across the country at boat ramps, marinas, parks, and other locations.
Every year the foundation opens a new grant application cycle allowing new communities and organizations to request Life jacket Loaner Station building kits and/or life jackets. In 2023 alone, the foundation received a record-breaking 258 applicants requesting over 20,000 life jackets, but sadly the quantity of life jackets the foundation could award was only a quarter of that.
With the immense volume of applications each year, the foundation is asking the boating industry for donations of new or slightly used life jackets to meet the demands of the program. (www.boatingsafety.com)

It can be hard to keep your boat’s shine. With the rain and harmful UV rays, we’ve all thought to ourselves that our boats just don’t look as good as they used to. Restoring that glossy shine can be an arduous task, but Shurhold’s Serious Shine Quick Detailer aims at making it simple.
Made in the USA, Serious Shine ($19.98 for a 14-ounce spray can) works on most solid materials and is ideal for removing water spots from your boat. The hydrophobic formula helps prevent new water spots from forming too, and as an added benefit, Serious Shine provides a UV-resistant coating that protects exposed surfaces from the sun.
