side and top view of the Baitwell Gravity Drain model G-2
A Drain That Won’t Clog
It’s one thing to reach in and unclog a baitwell drain screen and quite another to discover something is stuck deep within a thru-hull hose. The Baitwell Gravity Drain assembly model G-2 ($32.25) from Beckson Marine prevents both scenarios. Uniquely designed, it protects against clogging without restricting water flow.

The G-2 is made with 72 angled holes precision-molded into its 1and 9/16-inch diameter angled cap. Manufactured from a durable, marine-grade polymer, the 3 and 1/8-inch L fitting has a threaded nut and 1/2-inch barbed end for fast and easy installation in a 3/4-inch hole.

One plastic and two rubber washers are included. In addition to baitwells, the drain is ideal for livewells, anchor lockers, coolers and other on board tanks. It’s also perfect for home and boat utility sinks. (www.beckson.com)

Bringing New Life To Gelcoat
The elements, such as sunlight and calcium deposits, can make a late-model pontoon or deck boat look old and tired. Fiberglass Reconditioner from Iosso Products is a fast and easy one-step solution to brightening that faded gelcoat. Made in the USA, this product quickly removes oxidation, hazing, chalking, staining, and rust marks.

The formula restores the boat’s original pigment no matter the color, leaving a high-gloss shine and protective coat that lasts for months. Silicone-free and safe to use on vinyl graphics, the cream can clean a 30-foot vessel from the waterline up. The cream paste is applied and then buffed by hand or machine to bring out a shine. A one-pound jar of Iosso Fiberglass Reconditioner retails for $23. (www.iosso.com)
