the SeaLok Remote Drain Plug from Flow-Rite
Remote Drain Plug For Your Deck Boat
For trailerable deck boats, the SeaLok Remote Drain Plug from Flow-Rite makes a lot of sense. It allows an owner to operate the hull drain from inside the vessel with ease.

Made in the USA, the SeaLok system is a durable polymer drain plug that connects via a 6-, 8- or 10-foot cable to a control knob actuator mounted inside the cockpit. The plug has an O-ring to ensure water tightness and because the plug is attached to the actuator cable, it’ll never be lost or stolen.

The actuator is simply turned to the in or out position as needed and it makes it easy to comply with clean, drain and dry regulations to prevent the spread of invasive species. Plus, because the drain plug ($89.95) is non-metallic, there’s no chance of galvanic corrosion. (www.flow-rite.com)

Accon Marine 209 Series Lifting Cleats parts
Simplicity, Meet Convenience
Boat decks bristling with hardware can appear cluttered and confusing to both experienced boat owners and first-time buyers alike. Combination mooring and lifting cleats from Accon Marine reduce the number of devices on deck, help streamline vessel appearance and simplify everyday operation.

Accon Marine 209 Series Lifting Cleats (that start at $260.85) deliver exceptional strength and durability in a compact, fully-retractable design that’s easy to install. The cleat portion features marine-grade 316 stainless steel for corrosion resistance; lifting hardware is 304 stainless steel. Available to suit a wide range of boats, they pull up for use and recess to be flush with the deck when not needed. All are screw-mount configurations, with the 8- and 10-inch models also available in stud-mount.

When used in conjunction with the supplied 304 stainless steel bow eye, connecting rod, sling and crossbar, Accon Marine 209 Series cleats double as lifting hardware with a working load capacity to 4,000 pounds. A 12-inch rod comes standard, with custom lengths available. (www.acconmarine.com)

the New Boat Bundle from Glidecoat
The Boat Bundle
Clean and gleaming in the sun, new deck boats have a sparkle that quickly fades if preventative steps aren’t taken. The New Boat Bundle from Glidecoat has everything needed to prepare the hull surface and apply a ceramic coating that will preserve the showroom finish of a 30-foot deck boat and make future maintenance faster and easier.

During the manufacturing and dealer prep phases, boats can develop visible swirl marks and minor scratches. The first step in the New Boat Bundle process is to remove them with Glidecoat Nano Polish. Ideal for use on both gelcoat and painted finishes, it has small active particles that minimize heat build-up and allow the product to work faster. As it cleans and polishes, it removes light surface imperfections.

The next step is to use Glidecoat Surface Wipe. This one-step formula removes wax, oil and polish residue to prepare the surface for maximum bonding with Marine Ceramic Coating.

The cornerstone of the Glidecoat protection system, high-performance Marine Ceramic Coating outlasts and outperforms even synthetic waxes. Nano-ceramic particles create a network of protective molecules highly resistant to corrosion, chemicals and UV rays. Because the layer is hydrophobic, it repels water and dirt. This makes cleaning simple, requiring only a blast from a freshwater hose. Marine Ceramic Coating provides up to 18 months of protection with very little maintenance needed.

Glidecoat’s New Boat Bundle comes with a 16-ounce container of Nano Polish, 16 ounces of Surface Wipe, 8 ounces of Marine Ceramic Coating, four microfiber cloths and four application sponges. With ample quantities to treat a 30-foot boat, it retails for $349.95. (www.glidecoat.com)
