HARMAN International, a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics, announced its marine group has been selected by luxury boat manufacturer Cobalt Boats for a multi-year contract to fit all Cobalt boats with their Platinum Series Audio Package with the new Harman Kardon Marine system.

The new Cobalt R33 Sterndrive with the Platinum Series comes equipped with Harman Kardon’s titanium dome tweeters, two-way and three-way speakers, and subwoofers, all meeting IPX6 marinized ratings from the front. The complete system uses an industry-first fully digital A2B technology, eliminating the possibility of audio distortion and induced noise from other boat systems on board. (www.harman.com)

Celebrating 100 Years Of Water Skiing
This month marks the 100th anniversary of water skiing. On July 2, 1922, 18-year-old Ralph Samuelson gave birth to the sport on Lake Pepin in Lake City, Minn.
